I am so excited to announce the beginning of something fun, fresh and new in maternity photography. We had such a great time at our mini maternity sessions last month we decided to take it up a notch and add a twist!

I am teaming up with 2 other photographers, Lana from Artsy Fartsy Photography and Lizette from Peekaboo Studio Photography, to bring you Crave ~ delicious designer maternity sessions. There is no session I like better than the maternity & newborn sessions when they are booked together.

I love getting to know the families before their new little one joins their family, especially when they have other children already. They are so happy and excited to become new parents again and to become big brothers or sisters.

Then getting to come back to see them again after their babies have arrived.  I am always so honoured that people choose me to come capture these fleeting days with their families.

I was lucky enough to squeeze in this maternity session before mum had her baby and before I left for Mexico. Their little girl is the cutest thing EVAH!! It was hard for me to remember to take pictures of more than just her!!

Then just a few short weeks later, back I am to meet their new baby GIRL!! Hope she gets these killer eyes too!!

And for all you babies I will be photographing, yet to be born, here are the steps to the perfect yawn. Please wait until I have my camera ready before you atempt this, thanks!

She sure is. At 37 weeks my sister is ready to have this baby she has been waiting years for. I am ready for a baby to photograph for the next 4 weeks!! I am crossing my fingers just a tiny bit that this will be a girl as I do not have one niece. I LOVE my nephews with all my heart but just one niece sure would be nice. Don’t worry baby “S” I will love you just as much if you are a boy:)

Please exuse any mess around here over the next little bit.

Their little nickname for baby-to-be.

I had so much fun at this session and had such a hard time picking a few favorites. But these are my absolute favorites!! Well, there may be a couple more I love too but I had to leave some surprises!!

I can’t wait to meet their first baby. There is something so wonderful at the maternity shoot of first time parents. It’s hard to explain but it’s there. The anticipation,the excitement, the unknown. They way the couple look at each other, speak to each other and touch. It’s magical…this first image says all of this.

If you are the praying kind please pray for beautiful weather for the newborn shoot cuz we’ll be going outside if the bugs and the sun co-operate! That last image is missing a beautiful baby right between it’s momma and daddy, don’tcha think?

can seem like forever. Especially when it’s your first baby. You are so anxious to meet this new liitle person that it feels like it will never get here!

Well the wait is almost over for this great couple!

I had so much fun at their shoot, moving  furniture, then climbing all over it! Sorry about that J&J!! I just gotta get the right angle and sometimes that means standing on a couch!

This couple won a session from the Baby & Kids Show a couple of weeks ago. They are saving that for their bundle of  joy due in just a few short (or long, if you are the mommy-to-be!!) weeks, and decided to have a maternity session too! I love when I can do both sessions! I get to start telling the story of this new family before it even starts!

Anyone up for a playdate?

Sometimes I have some ideas about certain images/poses I’d like to try during a shoot.

I don’t always get the chance to try them during a regular shoot, so I’d like a few volunteers to help me out!

This playdate is to attempt a certain image/pose, although others may be done if time permits.

What’s in it for you?

A free session and a 11×14 print of the shot.

What’s in it for me?

The chance to be creative and do somethings I don’t normally get to do, a signed photo release so I can display these images in print or on my website, and to get my baby fix!

Here are the criteria for the first few playdates coming up. Check back as I’ll add other playdates in upcoming weeks/months.**

#1- a DEEP sleeping 3-4 month old baby. The chubbier the better! ***eta: spot is taken***

#2- healthy newborn twins under 7 days old ***eta: spot is taken***

#3- a mommy and daddy and newborn under 7 days willing to bare a bit of skin! ***eta: spot is taken***

**sessions must be done within the next 4 weeks so if you haven’t had your baby yet , that’s ok, but contact me asap. First come, first served!
