I once heard someone refer to twins as twinkies and it has always stuck in my head. These two girls were sweet enough to be twinkies that’s for sure! This was the second time I was able to photograph these girls. The last time was when they were about 6 weeks old. They looked alike then but certainly not as identical as they do now! I couldn’t keep them straight! These were taken in my new baby studio which is now open for business! The baby studio is exclusively for maternity, newborns (and their families) and babies under one.

And my new favorite image!

The light in my new studio that is! Of course it helps when the subject you have is this adorable little girl! More of her to come just had to share this one!

I hope to have my studio ready for clients in July so stay tuned for that as I will be restructuring the types of sessions that will be offered!

Bare with me folks! This will be a long post with lots of images!

As some of you know, my sister-in-law Debbie, along with her mother-in-law, Shirley, and 2 sister-in-laws, Andrea and Jen, (are you still with me,lol?) are the business women behind the wonderful baby carrier called, CuddlyWrap™. And a few of my clients have recognized me from the packaging! In fact I’ve been at a newborn shoot and have had the packaging right beside me and the mom says “Hey! Is this you???”

Yup! That’s me! Along with my youngest daughter, I, when she was 3 months old.

Well, a few weeks ago I had the opportunity to be on the set of a video production Peapod Creations was doing as part of a television spot they were working on. They wanted a still photographer as well capturing behind the scenes and images they could use for other promotional materials.

I’m sure all the babies agreed, if they could agree;) that their favorite part was the Salsa Babies class! You should have seen these babies smiling, giggling and kicking their feet as their moms boogied to the music. So cute!

Here are a few images of the mom’s and babies who helped out for this video. I hope I’ve included everyone. If I forgot you, please let me know!

Can you believe my nephew is already 3 months old??? Crazy.

These were all taken in my soon- to -be -ready in home natural light studio!

As soon as my dining room is out and a new coat of paint, it will be ready for maternity, newborn and babies under 1. I will keep you posted!

Here’s a sneak peek for a family I have known for quite awhile now. Their first baby was my first “real” newborn session. I was very excited to come and meet their newest family member. A baby girl! She was very co-operative and let me capture my new favorite image. Don’t let the simplicity of this pose fool you! It is hard to get as it’s kind of the opposite of what they want to do, which is curl in. But little “V” was zonked so she was putty in my hands! LOVE that little tushie in the air, the squished up lips and the little back rolls!

and a few more of my favorites!

One of the many, many, many wonderful things about my job is getting to see clients again. I love to come back and see how their family has grown and changed. I got to photograph this beautiful baby boy one year ago and was honoured to be asked to come back for “B’s” one year session. I brought along a sweet surprise for “B” and you could say he liked it;) You be the judge!

Here is “B” the first time we met:

And one year later he’s still giving me amazing eye contact!

Yup! I think it’s a hit!

Then we hit the tub!

Thanks “S” family! Thanks so much for inviting me into your home again!!

There is no session I like better than the maternity & newborn sessions when they are booked together.

I love getting to know the families before their new little one joins their family, especially when they have other children already. They are so happy and excited to become new parents again and to become big brothers or sisters.

Then getting to come back to see them again after their babies have arrived.  I am always so honoured that people choose me to come capture these fleeting days with their families.

I was lucky enough to squeeze in this maternity session before mum had her baby and before I left for Mexico. Their little girl is the cutest thing EVAH!! It was hard for me to remember to take pictures of more than just her!!

Then just a few short weeks later, back I am to meet their new baby GIRL!! Hope she gets these killer eyes too!!

And for all you babies I will be photographing, yet to be born, here are the steps to the perfect yawn. Please wait until I have my camera ready before you atempt this, thanks!
