So I think what I need to tell people before any shoot is to leave all expectations about what you want your pictures to look like at the door. Really, when working with kids, especially toddlers and preschoolers, you get what you get!! They are the bosses and what they say goes…for pictures anyway, because the more you try to get them to sit here or stand there, that’s the LAST place they want to go!

This family was great at this. They just went with it and were very easy going. These girls knew exactly what they wanted and what they wanted to do. I truly love that about children. As great as it would be to have kids who just did whatever you said, you wouldn’t end up with pictures that reflected who they were. And that is what makes a photograph great.

I hope this isn’t what “H” thought of me and my camera!!

There’s alot to go through “E”! I’ll let you know when your gallery is ready! Can’t wait for spring and the horses!

I was going a little nutty in my house. It’s been FREEZING for the last 2 weeks. So it was wonderful to get outside today in almost balmy weather! We celebrated our nephew’s 4th birthday by going on a sleigh ride. It was great! Warm weather, great food, family and friends. What more could you ask for?

Back:and because I have to be fair…here’s “P”,and “I” too!! Thank you to everyone for all your words of encouragement and praise since the launch of the website. Alot of people didn’t even know I was doing this so they were surprised when they received an e-mail. I have had an overwhelming response and I am so happy that people like what I do. Thank you so much!!

After “P” saw the photoshoot pictures of “I”, she said, “Me next!!”

So when “I” and “A” were at school out came the camera and back drops and “P” had her own shoot. If we’re just hanging around the house and I want to take pictures the girls don’t really want to look at the camera. If I treat it like a “real” shoot though, they are all over it. I’ll just take whatever I can get, lol!!!

I guess “A” will be next! She’s sure to want a turn as well!

Update on the website: I’m STILL waiting. It’s being set up as I write but it can take up to 72 hours to propagate…does anyone know what that means? If you do please leave me a message to explain it to me! So it’s been over 24 hours, you do the math! Will let you know when it’s up! I know my friend “K” is waiting because she can’t see her gallery until it goes live.

Well, my website is finished!!….but it’s not up yet. I’m waiting for the service provider (Bludomain) to get it up and running. Tomorrow???? Hopefully. I will post as soon as it’s done!

It’s cold and blustery today. Not so much fun stuck inside all day with a 3 year old!! So I organized an impromptu photoshoot after a “makeover”. My little “I” needed a haircut in the worst way! She had a …shhhh, don’t say it too loud… a mullet!! So out came the scissors and voila!! This also gets her alittle more excited for the photos which she doesn’t normally like so much.

Telling me her favorite joke:

I: “knock, knock!”

Me: “who’s there?”

I : “Anita”

Me: “Anita who?”

I: “Anita cup of hot chocolate!!”

Cracks her up every time!!Of course no photoshoot is complete without at least one costume change!

I had so much fun last week at The Forks with these fun girls. I hope they had as much fun as I did! I’m sure they’re dying to see what the photos turn out like so here’s a sneek peak. Sorry girls, you won’t be able to see the rest until my website goes live. I’m hoping that will be within the next week. Hope you can hold out til then!

I am now offering a small selection of baby announcements. All text and fonts can be customised, as well as some of the colors. There are 2 different sizes: The Mini is 4.5 x 5.5 and the Biggie is 5×7.

These must be purchased in multiples of 25 and come with the envelopes. The Minis are $50.00 for 25, and the Biggies are $60.00 for 25.
Photo paper cards are also available.
