About Carol & your session

Mom, wife, sister, daughter, friend, photographer.

Like many mom photographers I fell into this career taking endless pictures of my 3 baby girls. Trying to hang on to their chubby cheeks, gummy grins and wispy baby hair.

The more I captured these fleeting moments for my clients the more I realized exactly what kind of images I wanted to produce.

New parents marvelling at their newborn baby’s tiny fingers, a baby finding his toes for the first time, or the look of love in a soon to be daddy’s eyes when looking at his baby’s mother.

These were the images that made me feel like I was doing what I was supposed to be doing.

Your 3-4 hour  newborn session will take place in the comfort of your home.

Capturing the details of that brand new baby you have welcome into the world.

After the session, I will post a sneak peek here on the blog so you can see some images right away! Then, within 2 weeks, you will receive the link to your password protected gallery to view and select your images!

As a lifestyle photographer I am inspired by light and love. By a connection, a feeling, a moment… but not just anyone’s,

yours.

[...] Carol Swaitkewich, Winnipeg Right now I do a 50/50 combo between Lightroom and Photoshop.  I use LR to sort and choose my images.  Then I do global basic changes like exposure and white balance.  Being able to sync all of these things with a click of a button is such a time saver.  Then I bring them into PS to do any cloning, colour balancing and any actions I like.  I am currently taking Lynne’s 101 LR class so I can get the most possible out of LR.  I would like to eventually use it for 99% of my editing!
